In november 2017 i completed a week of work experience in The Happy Pear in Greystones. I worked from 9-3 every day doing varius different things in the shop, the cafe and in the wash room.
On my first day i was in the shop stacking shelves and doing stock checks which i have never done before. This was a great experience. I also had to scan every single item in the shop and because they didn't have a mobile scanner i had to pick up one of each item and go to the till to scan it. all in all it was a good experience of what working in a shop is like.
For the best part of the rest of the week i was in the washroom and clearing tables. I had also never done this before so it was very interesting to see how the dishes are washed and how efficient u need to be to keep all the tables clean.
To conclude the week was very interesting and gave me a sense of how work really is in a shop.
